Doctors
Tim is married to Dr. Bridget Williams and they have two children. He is from Christchurch, and has family links to the Belfast area going back over more than 100 years. His training was in Dunedin and Christchurch and after finishing medical training worked in hospitals in Christchurch, Invercargill, Hamilton, and in England. He took over the practice in Belfast from Dr Bob Hunt in 1990.
He has interests in rehabilitation medicine and recently has been involved with developing general surgical pathways for the Canterbury Initiative. Outside of medicine he is a keen gardener and entomologist.
Dr Hitchings is available:
o Tues 9am-12pm, 2pm-5pm
o Wed 9am-12pm
o Thurs 4pm-7pm
o Fri 2-5pm
Bridget trained in Dunedin and Wellington and has a BSc and postgraduate diploma in nutrition. She joined the practice in 1996 and has a special interest in nutrition and women's and children's health. She is married to Tim Hitchings. Outside of work her interests include reading, tramping and painting.

Dr. Lee Brown joined the practice in 2011. Lee has been in family medical practice for 28 years and enjoys all aspects of family medicine. He has also completed a Sports Medicine Diploma.
